Oakley is a loving 6 year old American Bulldog who weighs about 95lbs. He is a very obedient dog who takes direction very well and always has a constant desire to please everyone he meets. He has great manners on a leash and was properly trained on a prong collar. Oakley is crate trained, so if you ever need to board him or crate him while you are away he will give you no trouble. He will never turn you down for a fun game of fetch or frisbee, he is quite the athlete for being such a beef cake. Oakley is a very mellow dog who really enjoys spending quality time around people. He would do better in a household where someone was home more often than none. As well all know not everyone is a perfect, and Oakley fits into that category. Oakley bonds very well with woman at first site, he can be a little nervous of men at first introductions. Once he knows you, you will be best friends for life. He will alarm you when someone is at the door because family means everything to Oakley. Oakley would do better in a solo dog household. He is not the type of dog you would take to a dog park and allow to run free. Unfortunately, he was that dog at one time, but after some unfortunate incidents by other dogs it has made him a little bit more cautious to make new friends. If the introduction is done properly with both dogs on a leash, he does great! Calmer dogs are more his style as he slowly gets up there in age. Oakley deserves the perfect home because he is such an amazing dog who will make you smile every single day. Making him apart of your family would bring nothing but joy. I sadly do not have the appropriate time for him anymore due to certain life changes, which is just not fair to him. I love him way too much to let him be alone for most of the day. I stress to Oakleys new forever home that if at any time you decide you do not want him PLEASE CALL ME! I will take him back in a heartbeat. I do not ever want him to end up in a shelter.
